Poul Winslow Pipes
Poul Winslöw held his first job with the Danish pipe maker Preben Holm. In 1967, Preben Holm was advertising for apprentices to his pipe factory. A young man by the name of Poul Winslow answered. Poul thought he should start making pipes directly, so he was a little disappointed when he found that his first duties were to sweep floors & perform other unqualified tasks - in short, to work his way up by learning the business through and through. It did not take long. Just a few years later he found himself the head-assistant of Preben Holm and a pipe-maker in his own right. These days, Poul has re-built an out-building and transformed it into a quite small yet perfectly organized place for pipe production. He works there together with 2 assistants making about 900 high-class freehand pipes a year to be sold all around the world.
