Enjoy the beautiful color match of Golden Virginias, light brown Burleys and just a touch of Black Cavendish. Easy to fill into your pipe and upon lighting up you will be met by a gentle sweetness, a base of Vanilla and note of mild and sweet Honey along with a faint Fruit overtone. Similar to Captain Black Royal.

5 MAC BAREN 7 SEAS ROYAL

I was expecting the usual sweet aromatic smoke I get from the 7 Seas line but I was pleasantly surprised. It comes off as a very tasty straight VA blend. Another keeper.....nuf said!

5 Can't go wrong
Posted by Victor on Jun 1st 2017
I recently got back into pipe smoking. Been a cigar and cigarette smoker for decades. In Canada, a 50 gram pouch of pipe tobacco runs $35 Canadian, that for just under 2 ounces. Taxation is wonderful. Stumbled across cupojoes and they ship to Canada with excellent packaging and shipping notes that flies through Canada Customs without issue as long as you order is under 200 grams (7 ounces) at a time. Canadians take notice and stop feeding our government. Thank-you CupoJoes. Now on to this tobacco. This is my second order of this 7 Seas Royal and I really like it. Wonderful flavour and body for a smooth mild smoke. Absolutely no tongue bite! The smell is nice and the wife doesnt mind me smoking indoors. Even my daughter likes the aroma. It is very comparable to Lane 1Q but much more flavourful. 1Q is rather bland but still nice for mixing things up once in a while. The only gripe I have is that this tobacco ships on the wet side. I have had to air it out a couple of times on paper towels for a couple of hours and seal it back into the zip lock bag to sweat it back before it will smoke with minimal re-lights. After a couple of airings its ready to go into my glass jar. Flavour gets better after aging for a couple of months. Other notable Macbaren is the Scottish blend I just recieved today. Ready to smoke right out of the bag and very tasty as well. Without aging it tastes very simlar to the 2 month aged 7 Seas Royal but without the hassle of getting it ready to smoke. I am curious to see how the Scottish blend will taste with some aging. Can't go wrong with either of the Macbarens noted here in my review.

5 McBaren's 7 Seas Regular to Royal
Posted by Doug Brown on Apr 4th 2017
I tasted 7 Seas Regular and really liked it but when I recently got the chance to try the Royal blend it was even better than the Regular to me. I put this tobacco in the class or category of a mild smoke and it just so happens to have the blend mixture similar to Lane RLP. The difference is that both are mild smokes but 7 Seas just seems to taste a little bolder and distinctive to me. I would definitely recommend giving 7 Seas Royal a taste test and many thanks to CupOJoes for going out of their way to see that I got this tobacco. Now I can add it to my go to list and order it again when I run low. You will really enjoy 7 Seas if you have tried any of the other McBaren's blends.
