Cup O' Joes 25th Anniversary VaBur Cake 2 Oz Tin

A very good Virginia-Burly blend , worth trying !

I was hoping this would have had some more flavor. I found this very bland and average. Burned hot and honestly reminded me of just simple bulk cigarette tobacco. I was very surprised that a tobacco from Cornell & Diehl would be this basic.

Tin note of sharp, sweet and cocoa. Tobacco is a Krumble Kake of light brown, brown and black. Moisture content is great, plug breaks apart and rubs out easily. Burns slow with a few extra relights. The strength is mild to medium and nic is mild. No flavoring detected. Taste is medium and mostly consistent, with notes of brown sugar, peaty vegetation, cocoa, woody, floral, molasses, spices, mildly sour, fermented vinegary, mildly bitter, savory, toast, earthy, a lemon grassy, dry nutty background note, and a mildly peppery almost smooth retro. Burley is leading with Cavendish and Virginia supporting. Room note is pleasant, and aftertaste is great.

A mellow and smooth VaBur. A little citrus, chocolate nutty flavor, citrus for me on the retrohale. A mild flavor with pleasant aroma. A slight sweetness. Overall a very nice blend. Why not 5 stars, it is a little mild for me but overall I would recommend this tobacco. VERY nice cake. Perfect moisture content.

This was my first cake and it's all I want to smoke now. Wish it was a standard tin from c&d but I'll buy what I can while it's available. Super smooth no bite easy to pack and smells wonderful. Has a smooth creamy smoke and flavor.

I am sucker for branding: gotta show some additional love to The House! The tin note is prune-y, evocative of Jahre or Auenland, and maybe Cap Black White. It sliced up perfectly with my Japanese, chisel ground bench knife, the kake crumbling apart behind the razor sharp blade as I cut. No additional fussing was needed to pack it into my reclaimed Dublin/Zulu. At first I thought it might be to moist, but it charred okay, and then lit and burned perfectly. But smoking it, the words that come to me are “unimaginative” and “inoffensive”, and I know that those are not necessarily compliments, but they are definitely not intended as insults…maybe it’s simply the nature of VaBurs, which I am not well versed in at all…definitely going to have to smoke other VaBur blends to compare this to…This is also my first experience with C&D…and not a bad start at that.

Now I'm new to the whole pipe world but I found this quite good. Friends that are well seasoned, that each suggested me into it, both ordered a few tins after trying it and I've since ordered more. This is a fantastic tobacco for both the seasoned smoker and to the newcomer.

I found this tobacco to be a great Vabur blend, it burns nicely with no tongue bite & has an excellent aroma. C & D did great creating this blend. Highly recommended!

Very nice, smooth and flavorful.

The sweet and earthy aroma of this cake hits you as soon as the tin is opened. It is wonderful. This blend is smooth and mellow, a great tobacco, which I will smoke every evening until gone. Very pleasant!

This was so damn good I bought 7 tins to start and share out then I bought another 5 for myself. This VaBur cake with minimal drying smokes well, tastes wonderful and does that very fine ash that we love so well. Smokes amazing clear down to the dottle! I may buy more if some is available after Christmas.

In this noobs opinion this tobacco is VERY good. Its also pretty strong. Ive taken to mixing it in with aromatics to give them a pretty good boost
