Founded by Kyoichiro Tsuge, and currently run by master pipe crafter Kazuhiro Fakudo, Tsuge pipes are arguably the most well-renowned pipes from Japan. A unique combination of Danish and Japanese designs lends these tobacco pipes clean, simple characteristics, as well as a light, dry smoke.
Initially, some of the Tsuge pipes were inlaid with ivory. The Tsuge pipes are now made exclusively with briar, fitted with solid vulcanite stems, and occasionally adorned with Japanese bamboo. The Tsuge pipes display beautiful artistry, along with an excellent smoke, and would be a special addition to a pipe connoisseur’s collection.
